I had only one drink and it was good. The food was good, kinda pricey at $10 a taco. Steak taco was seasoned well and very flavorful however meat was chewy and kinda hard to eat. Had a salad with all this and nuts on the salad were stale and old, ruined the salad. Overall it was good, there's some flavor there but with prices it's ok.
The last time I visited this place was about 5 years ago, and it was so memorable that I suggested to my friend we go have lunch.
I was surprisingly disappointed, ordering overpriced nachos, that had practically whole onion chunks, over boiled seasonless chicken chunks on top. We also ordered these rolls, that ended up being a pinwheel type combination.
The waitress was a delight, and appreciated the service in general but I truly don’t understand the appeal with food like this?
I've heard good things about this place and have wanted to go for years.
I took a friend for her birthday a few weeks ago. The service and drinks were wonderful and the black eyed pea dip with the chips was so tasty. But I'm hoping it was an off night because the food was not great. I really hate to say that but it was almost like it was a mess up order that had been sitting under a warmer for AWHILE.
The food came out really quickly which normally would be great but it was quicker than really possible. The rice was hard and dry and there was so much melted cheese and sauce on everything that we couldn't decipher what food was under it. That's a classic restaurant tactic to freshen things up.
On the plus side, if it was an accidental order that they were able to serve, at least it wasn't wasted. It also had good enough flavor that I'd be curious enough to try it fresh.
The ambiance is really lively and we did enjoy ourselves so I'll definitely give the place another chance. Maybe just for drinks...and dip.
Fish tacos was really good, but their Yaya (?) was just okay. Go for their happy hour to try a bit of everything. We only went once and service was attentive and friendly.
Went for lunch on a whim. The service and food was great. The chicken and pepper jack cheese was delicious and huge. I was able to eat 1/4 and brought the remainder home. The only negative ... the lighting is terrible and the menu print is awful. Our waitress said they were printing new menus. Let's hope so. I will definitely return for happy hour.
One of the best happy hour spots in Vancouver. Food is above average for the bars in the area. Nice bar selection of cocktails. Great Halibut or Salmon fish tacos. They don’t show in the menu but you can get them breaded or grilled. Top menu items are also the chicken peanut yaya rolls and their nachos. They also have very good and free chips, salsa and beans.
Haven’t been here in years and it certainly did not disappoint me. Kind of like coming home. Comfort food, great service and a nice atmosphere.
Great menu! Some thing for everyone. . Service was fantastic! 4/7/23
My friends and I came for the Margaritas, but had the best experience with our waitress Ashley!! She was wonderful! Very personable and funny. Would definitely recommend and return for both the delicious margaritas and Ashley. Ps she also remembered my friend Julie as a guest from over a year ago!
